HUBS

British Columbia faces increasing climate pressures including record-breaking wildfires, flooding, and drought that disproportionately affect rural and Indigenous communities. The province's policies on building codes, clean energy policy, and municipal climate planning create strong opportunities for communities to push for ambitious local implementation.

Community Climate Hubs across BC are advancing campaigns like Sue Big Oil at the municipal level, as well as campaigns about active transportation, the Zero Carbon Step Code, and watershed protection.

The Climate Reality Project Canada’s office is located on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg Nations. Our organization honours, recognizes and respects these Nations as the traditional stewards of the lands and waters on which we are today.
