Oakville Climate Hub

The Oakville Community Climate Hub’s vision is for Oakville to meet Canada’s net-zero emissions by 2050 and advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Its mission is to help the Town, businesses, and residents reach those goals by tracking and sharing progress, and urging local leaders to expedite climate initiatives.

ABOUT

Oakville Climate Hub’s recent climate action has focused on setting up a municipal climate progress tracking approach, monitoring and reporting Oakville’s progress on key indicators aligned with the Partners for Climate Protection framework and the National Climate League indicator set.

They aim to collect and publish local climate data, share results with residents and leaders, and pressure local decision-makers to speed up key initiatives.

The Climate Reality Project Canada’s office is located on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg Nations. Our organization honours, recognizes and respects these Nations as the traditional stewards of the lands and waters on which we are today.
