Its vision is to help make Nanaimo a sustainable and resilient community that’s prepared to thrive in a lower-energy, post-carbon future as the region transitions away from fossil fuels.

Nanaimo Climate Action Hub’s recent campaigns include convening the Nanaimo Climate Connections: Summit for Solutions & Action with an art build to support the Sept 20 “Draw the Line” mobilization, and earlier policy advocacy that helped win progress on sustainable buildings policy through public outreach and urging residents to contact elected officials.

They continue advancing solutions through advocacy, local initiatives, and collaboration across the Regional District of Nanaimo.

The Climate Reality Project Canada’s office is located on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg Nations. Our organization honours, recognizes and respects these Nations as the traditional stewards of the lands and waters on which we are today.
