The Greater Victoria Climate Hub’s vision is to build bridges between citizens and local municipalities to take action on the climate crisis. Their mission is to build a bridge between citizens and local/regional decision-makers by organizing diverse voices to advocate and work with governments for urgent, effective climate action, while striving to learn, understand, and curtail the effects of colonialism.

Greater Victoria Community Climate Hub’s recent campaigns include helping catalogue and uplift local climate initiatives across Southern Vancouver Island.

Ongoing, the hub focuses on municipal-level climate advocacy through outreach/education, staying involved at Council meetings, and letter-writing/writing campaigns to influence local and regional decision-makers.

The Climate Reality Project Canada’s office is located on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg Nations. Our organization honours, recognizes and respects these Nations as the traditional stewards of the lands and waters on which we are today.
