PRESENTATIONS FOR SCHOOLS
Since 2007, The Climate Reality Project Canada has visited every Canadian province and delivered over 1,900 presentations to primary and secondary schools.
Every year, the tour brings the most recent and relevant science as well as climate crisis solutions to classrooms, cafeterias, gymnasiums, and auditoriums in hundreds of schools from coast to coast – free of charge.
The Climate Reality Project Canada hopes to not only further spread awareness on national and global climate issues, but also to create young environmental leaders.
The campaign focuses on what young Canadians can do to reduce their carbon footprint at school and in their community. The presentations offer information on the science of climate change, as well as the sources of greenhouse gases. Climate Reality Leaders can propose green initiatives ideas that can be implemented in schools across the country and hands-on solutions that students can apply in their everyday lives, at home, and at school.
The presentations are customized for each audience type and our Climate Reality Leaders can accommodate primary school audiences as well as secondary school audiences. Climate change presentations are recommended for youth aged 10 and over.
The Climate Reality Project Canada’s (CRPC) office is located on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg Nations. CRPC honours, recognizes and respects these Nations as the traditional stewards of the lands and waters on which we are today.
