NOS PROGRAMMES

The Climate Reality Project Canada offers free presentations in many different formats that are adapted to multiple kinds of audiences. From general assemblies in schools to special events and lunch and learn business meetings, our volunteer Climate Reality Leaders, trained by Al Gore, adapt their presentations to meet all audiences and to time slots as short as 30 minutes to as long as two hours.

DÉTAILS DE LA PRÉSENTATION

Generally, Climate Reality Canada presentations are delivered over a period of one hour that includes a question-and-answer period of 10 to 15 minutes. Our presentations are typically divided into three sections:

MUST WE CHANGE ?

In this section, we present an overview of climate science and recent meteorological events, and explain the linkages between human activity and the intensification and frequency of events such as floods, droughts, and storms.

CAN WE CHANGE ?

Climate Reality Leaders then discuss the solutions available to help individuals, businesses and communities to mitigate climate change.

WILL WE CHANGE ?

To finish, the presentations end on an optimistic tone with a message of hope that aims to inspire audience members to act. Calls to action are included in this section in order to provide concrete examples of programs, campaigns.

The Climate Reality Project Canada’s office is located on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg Nations. Our organization honours, recognizes and respects these Nations as the traditional stewards of the lands and waters on which we are today.
