Okanagan Climate Hub

The Okanagan Climate Hub’s vision is an Okanagan that reaches carbon-neutrality by 2050 from a transition to a clean-energy economy. Its mission is to support the Okanagan community to become active climate citizens by uniting individuals, youth leaders, and organizations for effective, cooperative climate action (mitigation and adaptation) across the Okanagan Valley.

ABOUT

Okanagan Climate Hub’s recent campaigns include policy advocacy like OCH’s CleanBC Submission (July 17, 2025) and hosting a #SueBigOil event highlighting efforts for local governments to pursue accountability from fossil fuel companies (July 1, 2025).

Ongoing, they’re part of the BC Climate Emergency Campaign, calling for a “reboot” of CleanBC and inviting other Okanagan organizations to join that open-letter effort, alongside continued local council engagement. Ongoing campaigns also include “Kelowna Transit,” “Save Old Growth,” and “Bank Divestment & RBC Off-Campus”

Calls to action: join their newsletter for updates and plug into their “Take Action” streams to participate in campaigns and events.

The Climate Reality Project Canada’s office is located on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg Nations. Our organization honours, recognizes and respects these Nations as the traditional stewards of the lands and waters on which we are today.
