Pablo Rodriguez, Regional Organizer for Saskatchewan

Short Biography

Pablo is a citizen of the world working for a more sustainable and fair agriculture while coping the climate change challenges from a community-based perspective. His academic and professional experience, gained in different locations in Latin America, Belgium and Canada, has provided him with a holistic approach to climate change issues. His last academic experience in Saskatchewan has granted him a broader perspective about water resources and climate change portrayed in the Canadian Prairies and the great Canadian North. Currently, he is collaborating to tackle one of our biggest global challenges with great people in Saskatchewan and all over Canada through the Community Climate Hubs.

Why did you join the climate movement/what pushed you to become interested in climate change issues?

Because of the challenges that it poses to small-scale agriculture farmers.

What is one achievement you are proud of?

To have met diverse groups of people while working or studying.

What are some climate change initiatives you are currently taking part in?

Boosting local climate action and analyzing current municipal and provincial climate policies.

What do you think is the most effective way for people to take climate action?

Only when you understand something can you efficiently act!
