Margo Burgess-Pollet, National Campaign Manager

Margo is currently pursuing en Master in Environmental Assessment at Concordia University. Passionate about data and impact measurement/management, she wants to work toward supporting the transition of communities toward increasingly sustainable and equitable practices for all. She has a strong interest in climate justice, mobility, the zero waste movement, and food systems. Outside of work, she volunteers for the Quebecer Association Zéro-Déchet, and is working on improving her sewing skills.

Why did you join the climate movement/what pushed you to become interested in climate change issues?

I wanted to be part of the change. 

What is one achievement you are proud of?

Learning to fix clothes. Hoping to one day make my own clothes.

What are some climate change initiatives you are currently taking part in?

Volunteering for the Quebecer Association Zéro-Déchet.

What do you think is the most effective way for people to take climate action?

Being engaged in your community! Volunteer, participate in a community garden, or just inspire people to love, to care and protect the environment. Spread the word! 

What is a fun fact about yourself?

I have seen Celine Dion in concert.
