Government of Quebec
The Government of Quebec has displayed a sincere concern for the environment and has adopted a proactive approach in working to meet the challenges Quebecers currently face as a result of climate change. Since the inception of The Climate Reality Project Canada in 2007 the Government of Quebec has supported our work in bringing the science and solutions to the climate crises to all citizens of Quebec.
On September 28th, 2009, the Government of Quebec announced a three-year financial commitment to establish the permanent secretariat of The Climate Reality Project Canada in Montreal, Quebec. This financial contribution on behalf of the Government of Quebec will ensure that Canadian Climate Leaders reach tens of thousands of Quebecers through their presentations.
David Suzuki Foundation
The Climate Reality Project Canada was proud to announce a strategic alliance with the most respected environmental organization in Canada, The David Suzuki Foundation, commencing in February of 2009. The alliance was established through a long time friendship between two of the world's most outspoken environmental stewards Dr. David Suzuki and Nobel Laureate Al Gore. The purpose of this alliance is to strengthen the ongoing work by both organizations in their efforts to bring the urgency of climate change to the Canadian public. The Climate Reality Project Canada Secretariat is currently located in the Montreal offices of the David Suzuki Foundation in the province of Quebec.
