Thousands of people have taken David Suzuki's Nature Challenge because they want to make a difference. We've looked at the science and crunched the numbers and identified ten opportunities where you can make the biggest difference to the planet in the way you get around, the food you eat, the energy you use, and the public action you take. • One Million Acts of Green

CBC and The Hour with George Stroumboulopoulos launched this initiative last year to mobilize Canadians to do One Million Acts of Green. One million acts have been reached, but the campaign continues on a global scale. The idea behind the campaign is that one small act can make a big difference. At an individual level this can be as simple as switching to compact fluorescent lightbulbs, or walking to work. At a community level, deeper commitments include bringing nature back to a schoolyard, starting a composting program at your school or work, or hosting a screening of An Inconvenient Truth.
