$300,000 to be provided over three years.
On September 28th, 2009, the Premier of Quebec, Mr. Jean Charest, alongside the Minster of the Environment, Sustainable Development and Parks, Ms. Line Beauchamp, announced that the government of Quebec will contribute $300,000 over three years to help support the recently established Secretariat of The Climate Project Canada in Montreal, Quebec.
The announcement was made in the presence of Dr. David Suzuki and Mr. Karel Mayrand, Director General of the David Suzuki Foundation Quebec, who will host the Climate Project Canada operations from their offices in Montreal.
The generous funds received from the Government of Quebec will help ensure that The Climate Project Canada can continue to provide support and resources to the over 270 trained presenters across Canada, 49 from the province of Quebec, in both English and French.
