I recently served as a member of the City of Lethbridge Advisory Committee which was responsible for developing a sustainability and development plan for the city. I am a degree candidate at the Harvard University Extension School where I am excited to by studying environmental management, climate change, policy, and tools for creating change. I am passionate about finding areas of shared value between communities and businesses as we move towards a sustainable society.

I am the mother of two fabulous children; I am happy to be creating a world that I would be proud to pass on to my children.

I have worked as an environmental educator for several years on projects ranging from alternative energy education to gaining cultural appreciation through traditional Aboriginal games. I have taught programs at the Helen Schuler Nature Center as a volunteer, and I have provided workshops for youth in the community to engage them in community leadership and environmental stewardship.

In the summer of 2009 I was selected as a youth representative to participate in a summit on Northern Climate change in Inuvik, NT. This experience gave me the opportunity to meet with northern youth and discuss the effects that climate change is having on their communities and culture. The week I spent in the Arctic not only put a face to climate change in Canada, but it truly shows that climate change in happening now.
