About
From a young age, Yassir enjoyed getting involved in his school as well as in his community. Whether it was with non-profit organizations such as Impact, The Climate Project or volunteer with Hema-Quebec or participant in educational programs such as Shad Valley, Yassir has engaged in many efforts to ameliorate his community and to inspire other young people to get involved in useful projects.
He obtained a Diploma in Collegiate Studies (Health Sciences) from Rosemount's Cegep in Montreal and he is now pursuing a Bachelor of Law at Montreal University.
Yassir tries to do to the best of his ability in all the activities that interest him such as environmental projects, leadership programs, poetry and other commitments. In July 2007, he participated in SHAD VALLEY at Carleton University in Ottawa. He also led his team (Shad Carleton 2007) to win the "Second Best Overall" in the RBC/Shad Entrepreneurship Cup where he was the President of the Application of Scientific Principles Committee as well as the translator of the website and material of Kinnovations Inc.
Yassir participated, as a Young Development Activist, in the 4th World Youth Congress -WYC- (www.wyc2008.qc.ca) held from August 10 to August 21, 2008 in Quebec City and the 5th WYC organized in Istanbul, Turkey in august 2010. From April 4 to April 6, 2008, Yassir participated in the US former president Al Gore's training session on Climate Change and especially on the Canadian version of the successful movie "An Inconvenient Truth". He was selected amongst hundreds of applicants to participate in this amazing event. Moreover, he started a project called Highly Poetry when he became a member of TakingITGlobal, the largest community of young leaders who are changing the world, now there are more than 220 members in his project which is a poem without end available in five languages, it is an educational project about CULTURAL DIVERSITY, CLIMATE CHANGE...: http://projects.takingitglobal.org/elouarzadi
